Mudsol is a winterized water based solvent that is excellent at dispersing
drilling mud damage, filter cakes and fines from the near wellbore region.
On a newly completed well these are some of the problems that can contribute
to decreased production. Mudsol is an economical means to eliminate these
problems and increase production.
When drilling mud (especially that containing partially hydrolyzed
polyacrylamide or PHPA), contacts acidic fluids, it often forms rubber-like
precipitation plugging the near wellbore region. Once formed, the
precipitation is very difficult to remove. Mudsol is designed to prevent mud
containing PHPA from forming rubber-like precipitation when it contacts
acidic fluids.
The recommended treatment amount is 500 litres to 1,000 litres per meter of
perforations. It is preferable to have a 12 hour soak when the product is
applied to realize maximum effectiveness.
